I know what it’s like... An idea hits you like a lightning bolt. It’s going to revolutionise the way everyone on earth communicates/drives/works/exercises/relaxes/farms ferrets. It’s so cutting edge, yet if you don’t act now (and by now you mean before yesterday) someone else will be hit by the same bolt of lightning and take your millions.
So what’s the first thing you do? I would say call Neo Marketing, but this isn’t about us. You would probably search for a suitable domain name, and a correlating business name. That’s fair enough, but you should stop right there. No logos, no websites, no flyers, no Google Adwords, no newspaper ads. What you need right now is a plan.
I know you’ve heard everywhere before that you need a business plan. It’s true. It serves many purposes, not least as a reality check. When completing a business plan you need to be completely honest with yourself so you can foresee any issues before they arise. |

For when the sh*t has really hit the fan, we can build a website and have it online in 24 hours. You don't get some cheap version either. Sorry about the lack of posts in this blog, I seem to tie myself up in single-sentence posts on Twitter.
One of the most common misconceptions that 'creatives' face is that we, or the agency, solely create the content for promotional pieces like flyers and websites etc. We can and do do it for several clients, but that is where we are the marketing partner and have some degree of control of the overall the marketing message. The main reason you need to devise your content: no-one knows your business like you. You know: - Who your clients are
- Their desires and needs
- Your strengths
- Your weaknesses
- Your competition's strengths
- Your competition's weaknesses
- Your USP (Unique Selling Proposition)
- And know how you want your business to be perceived
All of this should be kept in mind when writing content for any marketing activity. If you're not sure of any of the points above,

You can now follow our movements on Twitter and subscribe to updates via RSS. Twitter is one of the fastest growing online communities around, with users sharing their thoughts activities and comments with their subscribers (or friends). A twitter update is limited to 150 characters and can be sent from mobile devices.
By contrast, RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is not limited by the amount of characters and originates within a person or organisations own website; not that of a third party. On the surface Twitter and RSS may seem to fulfil the same purpose, but this isn't the case. For example, I am more likely to use this blog, and inturn RSS to report on matters that need a degree of explaination, but are only of interest to some people. On the other hand I will be using Twitter to announce new site launches, thanks to Neo Marketing partners, or maybe even to just let everyone know whats for lunch. Well, it was a long time coming, but we belive it was worth the wait. Like the builder who never finishes his own house, we put our clients work before our own and brought this website in just a little late... There are still some parts that are unfinished, but hopefully it will all be up and running soon enough. Some of the functionality we plan to include in this website include:
