By contrast, RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is not limited by the amount of characters and originates within a person or organisations own website; not that of a third party. On the surface Twitter and RSS may seem to fulfil the same purpose, but this isn't the case. For example, I am more likely to use this blog, and inturn RSS to report on matters that need a degree of explaination, but are only of interest to some people. On the other hand I will be using Twitter to announce new site launches, thanks to Neo Marketing partners, or maybe even to just let everyone know whats for lunch. Twitter is one of the fastest growing online communities around, with users sharing their thoughts activities and comments with their subscribers (or friends). A twitter update is limited to 150 characters and can be sent from mobile devices.
